Valentine’s Week starts with Rose Day, which is February 7th every year. Through history, roses have been cultivated for 35 million years. The rose expresses the fundamental peace, love, affection and love of the people in particular. The rose is considered as a symbol of love in the modern age.

In the 15th century, red roses were used as a symbol of the House of Lancaster, while a white rose was a symbol of the House of York. This event is known as the ‘War of the Roses’. In 30 B.C. Cleopatra showed the use of roses. This day is very well known as Cleopatra Day. The beautiful Queen Cleopatra used to make a carpet of red roses in which led to her bedroom and walk her husband over it. This is how he expressed his love for him.

In modern times, people have chosen red roses as a means of expressing their love. There are many reasons for that. Red color is always attractive. So red is the best choice for anyone to easily attract. A red rose always expresses “I love you”. Many husbands give a gift of red roses to their beloved wife or to their beloved husband. With different kinds of roses and messages of love, this day has become brighter and brighter.

Rose Day is celebrated in almost the same way throughout the world. These days they buy roses and prepare to offer love. They spend all day together in love and happiness all day long. Some of them organize a candle light dinner to offer their loved ones a more romantic way. Some famous poets have written very expressive lines/quotes regarding the role of roses in human life. A few of them are as below:

I’m sharing some of those lines/quotes with you.
