I lost a Friend I lost a special friend today the kind you can’t replace, and looking at her empty bed still can see her beautiful face. I know she’s in a special place our Lord has for such friends, Where meadows, fields & flowers help make them strong and whole again. I know she’s watching over me She’ll be with me when I cry, So with one more kiss on her beloved head I told my friend goodbye.
You think dogs will not be in heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us. – Robert Louis Stevenson
Grief Is like the ocean; It comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water Is clam, and sometimes It Is overwhelming. All we can do Is learn to swim. – Vicki Harrison
You’ll Meet Me in the Light
I know that you can’t see me,
But trust me I’m right here.
Although I’m up in Heaven,
My love for you stays near.
So often I see you crying,
Many times you call my name.
I want so much to lick your face,
And ease some of your pain.
I wish that I could make you see,
That Heaven is in deed real.
If you could see me run and play,
How much better you would feel.
But our loving God has promised me,
That when the time is right,
You’ll step into the darkness,
And meet me in the light.
